Bigăr waterfall is considered to be the most beautiful waterfall in the world. A moss-covered cliff and an underground water spring combine to create this beautiful and unique piece of nature.
It is located in Caraș-Severin county, in the Anina Mountains (western Romania) and the locals call it “the miracle from Minis Canyon”.
This waterfall is found on every list of stunning places around the world and it is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Romania.

Bigăr waterfall has a height of almost 8 meters, and it is covered year-round with a green layer of moss.
The unique way in which the water is spreaded and falls in tiny shreds of drops is really remarkable, it looks like something who came out straight of a fairytale.
This waterfall has found itself on every list of stunning places around the world and it is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Romania.

In 2013 in its article “8 Unique Waterfalls Around the World” The World Geography has placed the Bigăr Waterfall on the 1st place.
The waterfall is placed exactly on the 45 Parallel which is unique. Again.
