Predeal lies on the Prahova Valley, nearby the same-named pass of the Meridional Carpathians at an altitude of 1.060 m, one of the most important passes between Walachia and Transylvania.

Curing factors: the stimulating tonic bioclimate with a relatively low air-pressure, clean air, dust and allergen-free, rich in ultraviolet radiation, with strong air ionization.
