Known as the “youth resort” or “the capital of summer festivals”, Costinesti is situated 31 km south from Constanta and stretches along the longest beaches on the Romanian Black Sea coast line.
The Costinesti beach has two main features: the southern beach is wide, crowded and the sea entry is with pebbles; northern beach is narrow (limited by a big cliff), the sea water is clean and the sand is soft.
For water sports lovers, the Costinesti Lake (7 ha) offers the opportunity for boat sailing or hydrobikes.
In the vicinity of Costinesti, other tourist attraction is the village of Schitu, hosting a children summer camp.
Other attractions: Callatis Fortress, Histria Fortress, Tomis Fortress, Constanța "Dolphinarium", Museum of Art, Genovese Lighthouse.
